| 21 Feb 2006 | Anne M. Leath | Loading...Anna, wanted to stop by and share my glee with you--am finally getting another horse to be a buddy for my young rescue horse. I am so thrilled! Also wanted to recommend a book to you--The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley--has an awesome horse character in it--enjoy! Anna M. Mortensen replies: "That's wonderful!! There is no greater joy in life than a horse. And it's really cool that you own a rescue horse. All of the horses my family have owned (save the one I have now) have been in dire straits when we aquired them. I finally got my mare started under saddle and she's doing beautifully. For being green, Belle's so easy that my cousin is using her as a "get back in shape" horse too. Well, to be honest, my cousin is working her more than I am... I've been very sick lately. In fact, this is the first day I've been online in over three weeks.
I own "The Hero and the Crown", but haven't read it yet. I'll be sure to hit it when I finish "We Were Soldiers Once... And Young" (my first non-fiction book in a long time). Of course, I'll need to find it in my stockpile!!
Thanks for stopping by to tell me the good news!"
| 7 Jul 2006 | Laura A. Wellington | Loading...Hey, thanks for taking a look at my stuff! It's been a while since anyone has said anything except "Wow, that's good," to my work, so it was a surprise and a wonderful change to hear something different. I will consider your critiques and attempt to incorporate them in my future works. Now it's my turn to edit your stuff, although I doubt I'll find much. And I should have some stuff up in a couple of days; I have a pending ticket, and I'm about halfway through the waiting list. Just an FYI. Anna M. Mortensen replies: "I must admit to being guilty of generic commenting. However, when I read something with a great deal of potential, I try give it a bit more attention. That said, I hope you didn't mind my comments (some people don't welcome constructive crits).
I hope you do manage to read something. My shelf has been very quiet of late (which is my own fault). Thanks for coming by!"
| 16 Aug 2006 | Annie Harrington | Loading...Hello. I'm very thankful for all the nice comments you left on my shelf what seems like eons ago. . . and I'm terribly sorry I never returned your kindness! I've had a lot of summer homework piled up. . . and they have killed me slowly these last few weeks. And now that I discover that I have finished with them and have fully recuperated, I find that school starts tomorrow (sigh. . .) However, I hope to get back to your page very very soon and enjoy your library to its full extent. The few things I have read so far I like very much. So. . . toodles for now! Anna M. Mortensen replies: "Thanks for stopping by and reading. I'll get to all your individual comments sometime soon. Sorry for the delay in responding. Busy, busy, busy...
Again, thank you ever so much!!!"

| 25 Dec 2007 | Joelle Duran | Loading...MERRY CHRISTMAS, Anna! I hope the day is wonderful! Anna M. Mortensen replies: "I hope you had a Merry Christmas, Joelle! Mine was okay. A bit down this year, but it's hard to be completely sad at Christmas...
I just realized that your last year's Christmas greeting is only 5 messages back. This is rather indicative of much laziness on my part... "
